Temptation of Priesthood of Ukhi-math

Ukhimath was a priest hood with large property and big income. The priest considering Swami Dayanand a very suitable person for the priest-hood offered him to be his deciple and later on to occupy the priest hood.

This was a very big temptation but Swami Dayanand had already renunciated his family as wealthy as the Math. His aim of life was to attain Salvation and wealth was a hinderance in his path.

So high was Swmiji's aim of life and for it he resisted all temptations which could deviate him.
