Discourses with Christian Missionaries

Maharishi Dayanand had discourses with Bishop Robinson, Gray and Shoulbred on the topic of Soul, creation of universe and the vedas. The Bishop read out a Vedic hymn and tried to explain it. Swamiji asked from which 'Veda' you have quoted it. The Bishop could not reply.

Bishop Shoulbred remarked "Swamiji you can be imprisoned by such talks." Swamiji replied, "I am not afraid of such challenges. I can not leave propagation of truth for any fear or temptation". Bishop Robinson was impressed by Swamiji's learnings and gave him a testimonial.
