The Theosophical Society Madam Blavetski and col. Alcot had established the theosophical Society in america in 1875. Having heard about the fame of Swamiji they come to india in 1879 and met him. Being deeply impressed by the magnetic personality of Maharishi, they declared him as the guide and head of all branches of the societyin Europe & America. But they did not believe in the vedas as celestial knowledge. They thought there are yogis in the Himalayas with yogic achievements. When Maharishi came to know all this, he discontinued all relations with the Theosophical Society. |
