Inspiration to Pandita Ramabai Swami Dayanand very much wanted some able dedicate their lives for preaching vedic Dharma and work for reformation of society. Pandita Ramabai born in Mangalore and residing in Calcutta, was well versed in Sanskrit and so she was considered by Swamiji suitable for this purpose and he tried to inspire her to work in this direction. But Pandita Ramabai could not muster courage to dedicate life for such a noble purpose. Instead, she married and on the death of her husband went to England and accepted christianity. But she always had very high opinion about swami Dayanand. |
