Lala Lajpat Rai Born on 28th Jan. 1865 in village Dhundhka. Lala lajpat Rai was patriot, social reformer, educationist, orator of the first rank and ws dedicated for service to AryaSamaj. He used to say “Arya Samaj is my mother and vedic Dharma is my father, I can never repay the debt of Arya Samaj.” He was a great freedom fighter and a popular leader. When he was leading a procession to protest against symon Commission, he was seriously injured by the lathi charge of the police, and he succumbed to the injuries and expired on 17th Nov. 1928. He remarked that every injury of mine will proove a nail in the coffin of British rule. |
